Casalbosco is situated in Tuscany, a few kilometres from the sea, in the beautiful Maremma of the Province of Grosseto.
  The farmhouse, composed of two buildings - the former master's house and the huge annex - is lying close to the dense macchia wood, adjoining the protected area Bandite di Scarlino. The hilly position offers a mangificent view over the Gulf of Follonica, lying right in front of Elba Island as well over the unforgettable sunsets over the sea. Casalbosco, embedded in the green and peaceful countryside, is tastefully and soberly furnished, ideal to pass a relaxing stay.
There is a small football field, a bowls area and a terrace with table and chairs plus a huge barbecue and sea view. The farmhouse is surrounded by 3.5 ha of land, cultivated with olive groves, wineyards and a small vegetable garden.
A 600 m long access road leading up the hill and framed with beautiful high cypresses, recalls the cypress road of Bolgheri.
The farmhouse is 6 km from the sea away licking the Gulf of Follonica with Elba Island in front.
From the farmhouse it is possible to make numerous excursions, such as:
Sea: Cala Violina, magnificent inlet of a white beach, only accessible by walking from Puntone di Scarlino or renting a boat; beautiful beaches along hte whole coast with the possibility to rent sun umbrellas and sun beds at a hliday village about 3.5 km from our house; the yacht harbour of Puntone.
Islands of the Tuscan Archipelago: Elba Island, capraia, Pianosa, Giglio, Giannutri; possibility to rent (with previous booking, according to availability and season of the year) a sailing boat or catamaran (max 12 pers.) with skipper or to make excursions with ship along the coast.
Seaside Resorts: Follonica 8 km, Punta Ala 18 km, Castiglione della Pescaia 22 km.
Medieval/Etruscan Towns: Scarlino, Massa Marittima, Roselle, Vetulonia, Populonia, Bolgheri.
Places of historical and artistic interest: - Siena 90km, Pisa 90km, Florence 170km.
